(not changing-or mixed values-this sounds like you have
bad time)
- not too legato
- lead to the downbeat by blowing
slightly more into apoggatura notes
- stretch time in bar 13
- echo bar 14 and 15 (make 14 stronger
from before the downbeat-bar 15 is normal/established
volume-not too soft)
- stretch time in bar 16
- in time bar 17 (before downbeat)
- cresc in 17-19
- take time after held note in bar 20
- target is downbeat of bar 22
- move ahead in bar 23
- no decrescendo until downbeat of bar
25
- rit at end of bar 25
- slower tempo (set up in bar 25) in bar
26 cresc in bar 27
- cresc in bar 28
- stretch end of bar 27 and 28 in
exactly the same fashion
- no decresc until bar 32
2nd section
- this segment is only used in 2nd round
auditions (but should be prepared before the 1st round)
- trill from top down
- divorce yourself from passage of time
during trill (practice this with a metronome)
- accelerate/crescendo through trill (it
should not sound too mechanical or measured)
- stop trilling before moving out of it
- long notes bar 15-18
- crescendo to last note the subito mp
on last note
- slower tempo=longer notes
